Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between hemp flower and marijuana?

Both are varieties of cannabis and they look, smell and grow the same. Here’s the thing, if a cannabis plant contains more than 0.3% Δ9-THC, then it is considered marijuana. If a cannabis plant contains less than 0.3% Δ9-THC, then it is considered hemp and is federally legal.

It’s all about genetics. Cannabis can be bred just like other crops to make new versions of the plant. Cannabis plants used as hemp are bred to contain high amounts of CBD or THCA and very low amounts of Δ9-THC, whereas cannabis plants used as marijuana are bred to contain high amounts of Δ9-THC.

What do I need to make a purchase a Clover CBD Dispensary?

If shopping in-store, you must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid ID to verify your age. If shopping online, through Takeout Central or DoorDash, you must be 21 years of age or older and may be required to show your ID at the time of your delivery.

How is CBD legal?

The Farm Bill passed by US Congress and signed into law by President Trump in 2018 makes all hemp (cannabis plants containing less than 0.3% Δ9-THC) and products derived from hemp federally legal in the United States.

How should I store my tinctures and oils?

For the longest shelf life, store your CBD oil in the refrigerator when possible. Otherwise, store in a cool, dark place. Direct sunlight may result in the loss of potency. Properly stored CBD can last up to 1 year.

If I use CBD products, will I fail a drug test?

Most drug tests will check for the cannabinoid Δ9-THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). The legal limit for Δ9-THC for any hemp product is 0.3%. This is an extremely small amount and because of that, it is highly unlikely that one would fail a drug test after using our CBD products. In fact, there are nurses, truck drivers, and plenty of other hard working professionals that are drug tested regularly who use our CBD products. However, Clover CBD Dispensary does not guarantee that one will pass a drug test after using our products. Please use at your own risk.

As for Δ8-THC, THCA or Δ9-THC, it is very likely that one will fail a drug test after using these cannabinoids. We do not recommend these products if the user needs to pass a drug test.

Will CBD make me sleepy?

CBD normally does not cause drowsiness. However, due to its anxiety and pain relieving effects, CBD can put some users into a relaxed state that will allow them to fall asleep with ease when they are ready. If you are looking for a product to make you sleepy, we do sell products with cannabinoids like CBN to help you fall asleep and stay asleep longer.

Will CBD get me high?

Nope. It will simply help your body regulate its natural systems so that you can feel relaxed and pain-free.

How do I take a tincture?

Most tinctures need to be taken sublingually (under the tongue) unless labeled otherwise. We recommend holding one dose (see your product's label for dosage) of a tincture under the tongue for about one minute. This will allow the blood vessels located there to absorb the cannabinoids found in the tincture directly into the bloodstream.

Some tinctures can have a strong flavor that may be unpleasant for some. If this is the case for you, you can try to hold your nose throughout the entire dosing process so that you do not experience the taste. You can follow this up with a gulp of a tasty beverage for safe measure.

Mixing a tincture into another drink is not an effective method of dosing and will render the tincture useless unless the tincture is labeled otherwise.

What's the best way to take CBD or Delta-8 THC?

The best way to take any cannabinoid is the way that feels most comfortable for you. The main ways to dose CBD and other cannabinoids are tinctures, edibles, vaping, topicals and of course smoking raw flower. All of these methods can give the user a full-body relaxing effect that can relieve pain and anxiety throughout the body with the exception of topicals which may only provide pain and inflammation relief to the area they are applied to. Tinctures and edibles may take 45 to 120 minutes to take full effect where as vaping and smoking raw flower are almost immediate. These are all important things to take into account when choosing which CBD product is right for you.
